About Me

Thank you so much for stopping by! My name is Matthew Mattox and I'm an independent hairstylist proudly serving St. Louis.

 

I spent the first fifteen years of my career at an AVEDA salon in South St. Louis where I worked my way through the ranks to become the salon trainer for new hires.  Continuing my education in hair-cutting and coloring techniques has been a constant throughout my career.  Learning from talented and passionate professionals helped me overcome my introversion and gave me the confidence to take care of people and their hair.

 

As a busy professional myself, I know how important it is to get away for self-care and to be pampered a little and feel beautiful.  I offer personal, private service from the time you arrive until you leave, feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and good about yourself.

Besides creating a custom cut and/or color and catching up on my latest beach vacation, I'll be discovering the obstacles keeping you from having the hair you love and empowering you to overcome those obstacles.  Listening to people is probably my superpower behind the chair.  I will listen to you and always be straightforward about what your hair will or won't do and what we can or can't do to ensure your hair is healthy and beautiful.
